Who we are

NSM Technologies Limited is a technology consultancy registered in England and Wales under company number 16748005, with its registered office at 7 Sanderling Close, Bicester, England, OX26 6WF. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

This policy covers this website and the enquiries you send us through it. Our products have their own privacy policies covering the data those services process.

Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us. If you submit the contact form, we receive the name, email address, company name and message you enter.

Our hosting provider processes technical information needed to serve the site securely, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is standard server and network logging rather than behavioural profiling.

How we use your information

We use contact form submissions to respond to your enquiry and, where it leads to a working relationship, to provide the services we agree. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, namely responding to someone who has approached us about our services, or the steps taken at your request before entering a contract.

We use technical logs to keep the site available and to detect and prevent abuse. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in the security of our systems.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles or make automated decisions that produce legal effects.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting and content delivery provider may set strictly necessary cookies to route requests and protect the site against automated abuse. Your browser stores your light or dark theme choice locally on your own device; that preference is never sent to us.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, and only so far as they need it to provide their service to us. These currently include our website hosting and content delivery provider, and our email provider.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

International transfers

Our providers operate global networks, so your information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law recognises, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry correspondence for up to two years from our last contact with you, unless it becomes part of a client relationship, in which case we keep it for the duration of that relationship and for six years afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Technical logs are kept for a short operational period and then discarded.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
• ask us to delete information where we no longer have grounds to keep it
• ask us to restrict how we use your information, or object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests
• ask us to transfer information you gave us to another organisation in a portable format

How to exercise your rights, and how to complain

Email us at info@nsmtechnologies.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge for exercising your rights.

If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern before you approach the ICO.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date shown at the top. Where a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will contact you directly.
